Can I drink alcohol in my seat at AAMI Stadium?

We encourage all patrons to take advantage of AAMI's drinking-in-seats policy by responsibly enjoying an alcoholic beverage in their seats at a Stadium event.

However, some conditions apply. You may only purchase four alcoholic drinks at any one time and these must be carried back to your seat in a provided tray with lids on all cups.

Selected dry zones (Bays 102 in the public area and 103 in the members' reserve) must be adhered to.

AAMI patrons are also reminded that upon entry to the Stadium:

  • They are entering licenced premises;
    Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter;
    Persons in possession of liquor will not be permitted to enter;
  • Checking procedures will apply to prevent persons possessing liquor from entering;
  • Intoxicated persons will be removed from the premises;
  • It is an offence for minors to purchase and consume liquor;
  • It is an offence to purchase liquor for (or supply liquor to) minors;

Persons supplying liquor to minors will be reported to the Police and penalties apply under the Liquor Act 1997.

Should you experience any problems on a match day, we strongly encourage all patrons to seek out the assistance of an Event staff or Security staff member.
